| Engine 167 / Ladder 87 is located on Annadale
Road on the south shore of Staten Island, NY. We
are part of the FDNY's 23rd Battalion and 8th Division.
Our first due response area include the towns of
Annadale, Arden Heights, Woodrow, Greenridge, and
Eltingville. |
| |
| The first thing you notice when approaching our quarters is our apparatus door. The door was painted by retired firefighter Jimmy DeGaeta(L-87) and is one of, if not the best apparatus doors on the job. The door was dedicated to all those who perished 9/11/01 and has become the symbol of our house. The house itself is led by a group of senior officers
each with at least 17 years of experience. This
is especially important since the job has gotten
much younger with the loss of over 4,400 years of
experience on September 11th alone. This doesn't
include the hundreds of firefighters who have since
retired. |
| |
| With the addition of junior men to the already
senior staff we have become a very active house
in all aspects, both on and off duty. We drill more
than ever and are constantly learning while at work
and are involved in every league, club and event
while off duty. This house has always been and continues
to be a great place to work. |
